If yours is newer and fresher than the other site, you’ll move ahead on the page. The higher you are on the page, the more people will click on your site.

2. Include your keywords in posts and articles so people who are searching can find you. If someone is looking for information on different types of baby bottles, for example, they will type “Baby Bottles” into their search bar and they will get back information on different sites that have the key words “Baby Bottles” in their title or content. If you are selling baby bottles on your site but never actually use the words “Baby Bottles”, your site will not appear in their search results.

3. Submit your new website to the search engines. Telling the search engines about your site puts you in the index that much faster than if you just waited for them to find you. They will eventually, but you can speed up the process by submitting you site map yourself.

4. Exchange links with other blogs or websites in the same niche. If you’re providing fresh, unique and informative content, instead of driving your visitors away this will increase your traffic. Your visitors will appreciate the fact that they can come to your site and if you don’t have what they need, you’ll send them to someone who does. You will become their hub site!
